OFSTED Inspection of Cavendish School |
|
Dear Parent or Carer, Re: OFSTED Inspection 11 & 12 June 2009 As you are aware Cavendish School was inspected recently and I am delighted to send you a full copy of our report. The Governors, staff, students and parents can be justifiably proud of the outcome, because the Inspection Team were very complimentary about our School describing it as ‘good’ overall and with a number of areas graded as ‘outstanding’. You will see from the report that they were very impressed by our students and in particular their commitment to the School and their enjoyment of school life at Cavendish. In the Lead Inspector’s letter to the students, the Inspection Team have suggested two key points for action. These are to improve homework, and to make sure staff prepare work specifically for those students who find some lessons either too difficult or too easy. I am pleased to inform you that both of these issues were highlighted by the School Leadership prior to the inspection and are integral to our School Development Plan for 2009-10. On behalf of the School, I would like to thank everyone who played a part in gaining this excellent inspection report. Yours sincerely
